    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Logan, McPheron Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ihB.2ACI/4204.1.1 Message Board Post: Doug, Appreciate your reply. There are several problems with what you say. #1 I have a copy of the will summary for David Logan who owned the fruching mill in Greene Co. I found it on another post. See below. It does not mention my David Logan who lived apart from the family. He moved first to Ohio, then to Illinois, and finally went to Indiana. Another problem is that another researcher, Nan Curran, said that David Logan Sr.'s son David was born much later than mine. It's theorectically possible that my David is his son based on birth date and David Sr's marriage date. The problem is with the second David in Nan Curran's record who is born many years later. Is it possible to have two sons named David? Possible maybe, but probable, no. I need some kind of unequivocal proof that my David Logan is the son of the David Logan who died in 1849. You mentioned you found a David Logan in the 1880 census, but I don't see how that's possible. It's probably his son. If I were you, I would go back and check the age range. It's funny your grandmother held onto things about Gen John A Logan also. It may be a time before we both understand what the connection is. Doug David Logan Will "I have just received a copy of the will of David Logan. The will was filed 2 July 1849 in Greene Co., TN. His wife was Prissilla. His daughters were Prissilla, Jane Standley (wife of William Standley), Suzannah Dodd (deceased at the time this will was written) Margaret McBride (deceased at the time the will was written). His sons were Andrew and James. James was deceased at the time the will was written. This will metions Suzannah Dood's heirs, John Dodd and Martha Jane Dodd. It refers to the heirs of Margaret McBride and James Logan, but does not mention them by name. The will was signed 25 Sept 1846 and witnessed by William Orr and John Balis. The will was read in the presence of the testators on 28 Oct 1847. It was attested by Gyl Olinger and Joseph Rogers. David Logan owned the plantation, 'Fruching', which was located on both sides of Main Lick Creek in Greene Co., TN. This will is available from the TN State Archives wb-2-70. The charge is $5.00."
