He was the son of Michael Wilhoite of Germany who came to America and lived at the Germanna Colony, in VA. Solomon married Katherine Redenhouse b. 1763 d. 1807 but apparently they married in Va as they are not in the Greene Co. marriage book. However, a Solomon Wilhoite did marry Catrina McGee on 6/13/1808 in Greene Co. and he attended wedding of John Wilhoit to Polly Vansandt on 6/26/1805, and James Wilhoite to Susanna Hixson 9/4/1809. Solomon and Katherine had daughter Jemima who m. Gabriel Moyer on 4/25/1824 and Gabriel was the son of William Moyer/Myers and Nancy Carter who m. 6/17/1800. Gabriel's siblings were Adam, Rachael and Elizabeth.
