He came to Greene Co at some time before 1800. He lived his entire life in Greene Co. and died in 1855 there. His daughter Lucinda, my ancestor, moved to Texas. He did have a son William. I wonder if William and John could be brothers? John always went by John S. Reed and it is said his middle name was Stewart or Steward.
