    1. [TNGREENE] Brandon - Greene Co., TN
    2. I know this post is rambling, but this is really a "stone wall" for me in my research. I am interested in finding out about my grandfather and his brother Robert and Young Mack Paterson/Patterson, who lived with the Brandon families in Greene Co., TN in the 1880 census as "wards".    I don't know how they are related but in the 1910 census Samuel Brandon age 60 is living with the Y. M. Patterson family in Civil District 15, Greene Co., TN, pg. 8A, dwelling and family #147.  He is listed as a cousin.  Next door is living Mary J. Brandon age 66, the widow of Thomas Brandon.  Her occupation lists general farming.  Young's brother Robert was living with the Thomas Brandon family as a "ward" in 1880 in Greene Co., TN. Young is buried at the Lovelace Baptist Church Cemetery. Is there a listing online for this cemetery. The boys are living with their mother Martha Patterson (maiden name unknown) in the 1870 census in Dist. 17, Greene Co., TN. Martha was born about 1840 in Tennessee. Can anyone possibly help me in discovering how the Brandons and the Patterson are related, if in fact they are?  Hopefully this will lead to the maiden name of Martha and also who the Patterson was that she married. The family story goes that Martha's husband was killed in the Civil War. I have not been able to prove this. Any help appreciated. Thank you. Phoebe Pantier Bush psbu@aol.com
