John Malone (whom I call John IV) b. 1803 Greene Co. TN d. 1860-70 m. Dicey Weston (no data re her), but you said she was born abt. 1815 and d. abt 1860. You gave me the name of son Anderson b. 1854 in Clinton Co. Ky and had Virgie b. 1898 who m. Verlie Holloway and had you, and Charley and Bradley, his brothers. and I believe you said John and Dicey had other children. John IV was the son of John III b. 11/21/1776 Mecklenburg Co. Va and Margaret (Margary) Casteel who m. 8/8/1800. she was dtr of Ishem Casteel and Lucinda Unknown of Greene Co. TN. John was son of John 2nd b. 1752 d. 1823 and Charity Posey b. 1750-60 d. bef. 1781 who married 1773. They had two children: John III and Zachary b. 1774 who m. Rachel Casteel, no doubt sister of Margaret Casteel on 2/17/1793. (and as you know John also married Mary Ann Posey who may be Charity's sister and had other children including my great great grandmother.) Apparently the John Malone who was b. 1804 TN and married Temperance Weems on 1/19/1830 in Greene Co. TN was the son of William Malone and Mary West, according to Joy Malone. Temperance Weems(b. 1805 d. 1055) was the daughter of George W. Weems (1770-1832) and Nancy Carter (1778- ) Temperance's siblings were James, Mary, Sarah, Abraham L., John, Catherine, William, George W, Robert Bennett and Thomas Norwood Weems. Nancy Carter was the daughter of Abraham Carter (1758-1832)]and Rebeckah Bennett. Abraham was the son of John Carter the lst and Hannah Cope and John the son of George Carter and Elizabeth Full. John Malone and Temperance Weems had two children: Thomas N. Malone (4/17/1832 - 11/7/1889) and Mary Ann (Polly) (1/6/1835 - 4/3/1914) Temperance was John's lst wife. Wife #2 was Elizabeth C. Brown whom he married in 1847. Their children were Rebecca E. 1847, Elbert A. 1851, Phelex 1852, Cyntha L. 1857, Martha J. 1859. Wife #3 was Anna Unknown (b. 4/7/1844 d. 5/5/1899) whom he married about 1862 and their child was John b. 3/28/1868 and d. 11/7/1879. Back to John Malone and Temperance Weems: son Thomas N. b. 4/17/1832 d. 11/7/1889 m. Anna Woods b. 4/7/1845 d. 5/5/1899 m. 8/9/1860 and their children were: Nancy Ann, Sarah Louisa Lurinda Jane b. 1862 d. 1927. Sarah Louisa married William Welty Casteel (b. 1856 d. 1915) and their children were Hazel, Alfred Alter b. 1879, Gertrude b. 1881, Jerry Thomas b. 1883, William Edward b. 1886, Leo b. 1888, Clyde M. b. 1890, Beatrice b. 1893, Herbert G. b. 1893, Joe Cecil b. 1894, Lillian b. 1896, Chassie b. 1901 and Pauline L. b. 1903. John Malone and Temperance Weems daughter Mary Ann (Polly) (b. 1/6/1835 d. 4/3/1914 m. 2//5/1857 Joseph E. Justice(John) b. abt 1838 d. 8/10/1880 and their children were Sarah b. 1858, Nancy C. 1865, John Newton b. 1869, Cora Ann b. 1872, Belle D. b. 1775 and Thomas T. b. 1877.
