My gggrandmother was Cora Davis, d/o Joshua franklin Davis and Pharibe. Joshua Franklin was the youngest child of John and Sarah. See the 1860 census of Greene co, dist 16, pg 7.. John Davis,48 Sarah J., 50, Julia Ann,20 Susan, 18 Louiza, 16 Rebecca J.,14, Thomas C.,12, Joshua F.,9 ------------------------ In 1850 this family had at home the eldest son, Hugh L. W. age 14.And Thomas Davis, age 100, is living with them. He gives himself a job as a day laborer, and says he does not know where he was born. -------------------------------- In 1870 John is dead and Sarah is 60 yrs. and only child yet home is Franklin with 2 laborers for the farm ----------------------------------------------------- In 1880 Franklin Davis is married to Pharibe. He is 30, she is 25, and Sarah , his mother is living with them at age 70. Franklins children are: Julia ,8 Cora, 6 Sarah E., 10 months. -------------------------------------------------------- Cannot find this family after this. Any help would be appreciated. i would like to know the maiden names of these wives and any info regarding Thomas. Actually any info at all would be great.
