He is possibly the father or son of Nathan Davis who was sold 200 acres of land in 1782. At the Battle of Kings mountsain there were several Davis' on a roster I saw and I believe them all to be related Nathan and Nathaniel I believe are listed along with John Davis and a Col. Andrew Davis. The other Davis names I cant remember. Other families associated with my family are Lane,Hulse,McAmis,Ottinger,BABB and DODD. They all lived in present day Newmansville. They all appear to have been some of the first settlers in Newmansville because the Davis,Newmans, Dodds,Browns,Dunhams, Stoncyphers, etc. appear to be living there from the earliest land records. They lived on Horse Creek if anyone knows where that is. Any info especially on the Davis' would be appreciated. Thank You.
