I have a Bill McAmis b. 9/14/1889 d. 5/30/1858, son of Thomas A. (5/10/1851 - 4/6/1915) and Adaline J. Malone (12/2/1859 7/24/1944) m. 10/3/1878. Their known children were William (Bill), Thomas Paul b. 8/4/1902 and Mae W. b. 1905. This could be the Bill who married Josephine Graham. She was born 1875 to Eliakim (b. 1838) and Sarah Baxter (b. 1843) m. 12/15/1861. Their other children were: Rhoda E. and Rebecca b. 1862, Nancy M. b. 1864, John Nelson b. 1867, James W. b. 1869, Jane b. 1875, Charles A. b. 1879 and May N. Eliakim was the son of James (1800-80) and Priscilla Malone (1810-1848) who m. 2/5/1828. Their other children were: Martha b. 1830, Temperance 1832, George Jackson 1834, Abraham 1836, Eliakim 1838, Margaret 1840, Alexander 1842, Catharine 1844, William 1846, Eliza Mae 1847. Priscilla Malone was daughter of Humphrey Malone (1705- 1822) and Temperance Carter (1787-1835) and I could go on and on. Humphrey was son of John Malone II and John was son of John Malone I. John Malone II was father of my great grandmother, Mary Polly Malone who married Jesse Reynolds. Since both Bill and Josephine were born after the Greene Co. marriage book was written, their names won't be in it. How- ever, the Greene County Genealogical Society has been printing marriages after that date in their publication, the Pioneer. I can't physically go through it right now, but the latest issue of the Pioneer has a complete index of all articles in all issues of the Pioneer and it was just published. Membership in the Society is $15 I think, and you can buy just that issue if you want. Contact Don Miller at the Cox Genealogy Library at dmiller@ggcpl.org. He also has marriage licenses if you just want that and there is a nominal fee.
