    1. [TNGREENE] Broyles and Fox
    2. Actually, I did find some wills pertaining to what could possibly be these families, but I'm a little hesitant to post because the last time I thought I might try to help someone, they didn't seem to appreciate it and responded rather confrontationally. If I post something to possibly help, I'm not trying to prove anything--it's not my family. If you think it might possibly help, let me know. I enjoy helping. I don't want to fight.

    1. [TNGREENE] Polly Carroll Pennington Long
    2. Donna O'Brien
    3. I have been trying to find information on My Great Great Grand Mother. I just recently found out her Maiden Name was Carroll and her father was probably Berry Carroll from Green Co Tenn. She was born Nov 17, 1827 in Green Co Tenn. She married George Long in 1850 in Miller Co Mo. On her marriage certificate she is listed as Polly Pennington. She lived in Miller Co the rest of her life. I found out from a will of one of her sons that her maiden name was Carroll not Pennington. George Long had 9 children when he married Polly and They had 10 more children. Does anyone have any information on anything about her or any of her family !! Thank you for your Help. 3. I can certainly appreciate what you say about "confrontational responses", but I can't understand why people do this. I, for one, enjoy helping anyone who is searching for family information. I searched solely on my own for at least 40 years before I FINALLY interested a few others in looking for information about our families. It is my understanding that these great lists, like Greene County is and has been, are meant to be HELPFUL; and I applaud all those who try and help others, instead of just maybe selfishly "tuning in" to their own family tree. Author: patseaver Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.tennessee.counties.greene/9660/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My father was Joseph William "Bill" Moorefield, b. 1911, grew up in Baileyton, graduated from Baileyton High School 1930. He was a descendant of Waites, Feagins, Bradley, Weems, McLain of Caney Creek Church, among many other Greene Co. families. I know that he had friends among the Tucker, Carter, and Brotherton families. I have 4 group photos, probably taken sometime between 1929 and 1933, of an outing to Dillam's Rock on Bays Mountain. In the photos, there are 7 young women, 8 young men, and 1 boy, maybe age 12. My father and his brother, Howard, b. 1913, are in one of the photos. The only names written on the backs are Ruth Tolliver, Lois Williams, Lena Kenney. I have scanned these photos and will be happy to email them to anyone who is interested. 1. [TNGREENE] Masoner/Honeycutt
    2. Peggy Perez
    3. My great grandmother was Harriet Florence Masoner, born about 1855 in Greene County, TN.  Her parents were John L. Masoner and Nancy Kilgore.  She was married to James Honeycutt (1870). They had seven children, Jacob Payne, William Jackson, Anna Josephine, Mary Ellen, Charles Faustin, Hassie, and Tulen Honeycutt.  They lived in Timber Ridge, Greene County.   I think she was married after James Honeycutt died, between 1884 and 1900.  Does anyone know if she was married after James Honeycutt?  If so, to whom was she married (possibly to G. Taylor)?  Would anyone know where either Florence and James Honeycutt were buried?   I have run out ideas?  I find evidence of her sisters and brothers, but no evidence of her or her husband(s).   Peggy Grinstead Perez
