    1. [TNGREENE] ANY LIVING RELATIVES OF HENRY AND JOSEPH REYNOLDS OF GREENE CO TN OUT THERE? NEED YOUR HELP!
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: REYNOLDS HENRY JOSEPH Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ihB.2ACI/4174 Message Board Post: Hello, I am trying to find some living relatives of Henry Reynolds brn abt 1757 with son Joseph brn abt 1784 VA, Charity brn abt 1788 VA, Clement brn abt 1790 VA, and James brn abt 1798. They all lived in Greene Co TN. My line I believe is from Joseph brn abt 1784 and Henry. However, I have not been able to locate information on the Net or other places to really confirm it. The dates match and the names match but can not confirm that Henry was married three times and who his first wife was and can not verify that Lear or Lair that I have is Leah/Leak/h WHITE that married Joseph in 1806-08. [Henry married 1st ?, 2nd Skiles, 3rd McNew] Therefore, I thought I would try a different approach and ask for help from any living relative in the Greene Co TN area. I and many other researchers would be very grateful for any help. THANK YOU for your help. wjreyn@yahoo.com

I cannot recall who had inventories the cemetery either. I have a few kinfolk buried there - Cobbles and Harmons primarily. Bob Wallace

According to my information, which came from Elaine Davis (a researcher of this branch), Cora Lee Davis married William J. Beckwith. The family migrated to Atchison, MO in 1881, so I have a feeling you're looking for another Cora. Sorry - I know how hard it is to sort out all these Davises!

One of them you said was named Elizabeth. I believe she is the same one that married David Logan. In reseaching this part of my family, I found a post from a Dan McPheron that showed the link to David Logan. Until that time, I had thought her name was spelled McFerrin or McFerron. Since you seem to know this part of the McPherons well, can you tell me anything about Elizabeth? I have conflicting information that says she was born either in Tenn or Allen County Ohio. Date of birth I have is Dec 19, 1807. Also, can you tell me anything about her marriage to David Logan. When and where? Last, do you know anything about David Logan himself and where he was born? The census I have says he was born in Tenn, but no location or date. The birth date I have is September Thanks, Doug Atherton

Surnames: Davis Drane Malone Justis Runnels Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ihB.2ACI/4171 Message Board Post: I have found info that may connect my Davis' to the Nathan Davis on the 1783 Tax List. There was an article in an 1882 Newspaper in which a lady mentioned that her family moved here about 1796. She said among her neighbors were Nathan Davis and Samuel McAmis. From the records I have it APPEARS that the family of Jesse Davis is connected to Nathan Davis in some way. All the records I have show the Jesse Davis family and descendants had lived beside or near A McAmis family or their descendants from 1830 - 1880. The Davis' lived in Locust Grove/Springs? and Newmansville. In 1860 Fields Davis has a Neighbor with 2 children named Thomas and Charles N. McAmis Anyone with any info on either of these families, where they lived, or especially Fields Davis and his descendants please contact me. Other neighbors included Dranes/Malones/Justis'/Runnels/ etc.

You can obtain a copy of the bond from the T. Elmer Cox Historical and Genealogical Collection. I think they charge $5.00. It is a lot easier to understand who was who when you look at the bond and marriage certificate. Their e-mail is dmiller@ggcpl.org; phone 423-638-9866.

Thank you. There is a little confusion here for me, though. Could you tell me who WILLIAM ASHLEY, and ROBERT MASON could be? Are they witnesses? Jesse B. HALL & Julia Ann WALL are definitely my gg-grandparents. Jesse was a Civil War POW, from the Vicksburg battle, and died at Fort Delaware from his injuries. Thank you for confirming Julia's maiden name WALL...and not WAHL. Jesse's surname is easily misinterpreted, since the lower case "L" can easily look like an "e" loop. Again, I appreciate your time and caring. Carol
