Elliott attending and also J.P. Howel Thomason. He attended the wedding of John Drain and Emma Davis on Oct. 23, 1862. I do not find Delila Falls listed in the Greene County Marriage book but other Falls names in the book were: Catharine, Clark, George, Isabella, James, Jane, John, Leah, Madison, Peggy, Polly Ann, Rachel, Sally, Sarah Elizabeth, Thomas and William K. Falls. I did not find any Falls listed in the Buford Reynolds Cemetery book, so they either left town or died after the book was published in the 1960s.
The sixth annual Nelson Family Reunion for the descendants of Jave and Ellen Evans Nelson will be Saturday June 28, 2003, at the Farmers Grove Baptist Church fellowship hall, beginning at 11:30 A. M. Bring covered dishes for lunch, pictures, family stories, and other memorabilia for sharing. We are in the process of compiling a family cookbook, so we would like recipes from everyone. There will be fun and games for the kids after lunch. Jave Nelson is said to be a direct descendant of Joseph Anderson for whom Anderson County is named. Joseph Anderson was a Revolutionary War soldier, U. S. congressman, and first comptroller of the U. S. Treasury. He is buried in the Congressional Cemetery in Washington, D. C. Ellen Evans Nelson's parents were Thomas J. Evans and Permelia York Evans, daughter of Joseph York who was born in Tennessee in 1802, and Mary York. Thomas and Permelia came to Tennessee after the Civil War. Thomas Evans and other family members are buried in Sunset Cemetery in Anderson County. Permelia York Evans supposedly died and was buried at Clouds Switch, TN in Claiborne County, TN in 1901. Jave and Ellen's children included David, Henry, Catherine Nelson Tadlock, Frank, Tom, Cynthia Nelson Wilson, Page, Taylor, Sam, Clara, and two others who died as infants. Jave and Ellen are buried in the Liberty Cemetery near New Salem Baptist Church. Jave possibly had a sister named Margaret. Ellen Evans Nelson's siblings included Hugh Evans, former Clinton city marshall, Silas, Mary Evans Phelps, Martha, Sintha, Thomas Milton and John. Jave Nelson was sometimes called J. M. or Jabers. If any of these names ring a bell, we'd love to hear from you. You may contact: Carolyn Nelson Johnson at <mamawcarolyn@ntown.com>.

Go to Usgenweb.org, then you will see an Archives Search Engine by State. You will also see the regular State pages; Click on that and choose TN, then when the County list is seen, click on that. And when you get the Greene Co. page, go to the very bottom and look for the Usgenweb Archives and click on that. You'll see a list of all the things in the Archives and among them are the Censuses. Hope this helps.

Alexander Myers stayed in Greene Co., TN and has lots of descendants there. Samuel Franklin Myers moved to the Chariton, Iowa area in about 1900. He has several descendants scattered all over the US. I descend from Henry Myers and Elizabeth Trobaugh through their son Michael Myers. Michael Myers married Sophia Carter - a sister of Hiley's. Doug
