Surnames: Titsworth Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ihB.2ACI/3728.1.2.2.1.1.2 Message Board Post: Hey Shirley I found that info again about the suit between Martha and Mary Jane Tittsworth. It was in a book called, Tennessee Tidbits 1778-1914 Vol. III page 375 and reads as follows: TITSWORTH Thomas Died in 1855 as shown in the suit entered 28 September 1859 by James M. Webb guardian of Mary Jane Titsworth and Martha Titsworth vs. Mary Jane Titsworth. Complaintant Martha Titsworth, the widow, and Mary Jane Titsworth, a minor, were the only heirs. Martha is entitled to dower. (Warren Co. Tn, Chancery Court Minutes, 2/465) Sounds as though he must have left everything to the daughter. Makes you wonder why??? I remember seeing in something else (don't know where and the library where I found the above suit information was about to close when I found that) about a Richard Titsworth and possibly another male Titsworth not sure who, that were involved somehow with Martha and Mary J in the suit. Will let you know if I find out. I also found Martha age 28 and Mary J Titsworth age 6 together on the 1860 census of Warren Co. Tn. I'm not sure who this Thomas was related to, but most of the Titsworth's who went to west Tn were related to Frederick Titsworth somehow. Happy hunting Sarah

My Henderson Clark was of Jesse Clark (son of William Clark who came with his supposed cousin (I have not proved that at this moment)Richard Henderson to the Franklin state. Henderson who was bn in Ky in 1797 married his wife in Madison Co, Tn (the Mississippi territory) in 1819. Since both the Pates and the Clarks are supposed to be on the Nolichucky, I am trying to figure out which of the Pates is Elizabeth Ann Pate's father. She was bn in 1800. (Tn). Have you any other information on Joseph, Mathew or Thomas that would lead you to believe that Eliz. Ann Pate Clark could belong to one of them. (I am working under the theory that she would have married a neighbor nearby of like class. many thanks Meredith

I'm trying to find Mollie White born in MO around 1866 or so in ? Livingston (Chillocauth ? spelling) . I think her Mother was Almeda White, but I'm not sure. If it's the Mollie White I think it is she had a half sister named Tilly Jennings (by Almeda's previous marriage). She married Tom Mann in Worth County, Mo in 1889. She had a son and daughter (WM and Ona Mann). After Thomas Mann died she married a Jonas Payton and had another daughter, Goldie Payton. Do any of these names ring a bell? Shirley/Grnyshirl@aol.com
