Wife Mary(LANE)Davis children(?) Martin V. Davis b. 1842 They are all listed in the same household in the 1860 census. However Fields and Martin are BOTH not listed in any Greene county census after 1860. Mary and her children are though. ANY info on Fields would be appreceted. Field may be related to Nathan Davis (early Greene county settler) Both Nathan and Jesse Davis mention a daughter named BETSEY Davis in thier wills. Im assuming Betsey was Nathan's Granddaughter and Jesse's Daughter? Any info would be appreciated. Thank You in advance.

Christine, I am familiar with the French Broad River which is only possible route I can think of by a boat. You might start with the Morality schedules for each county along the river route. Once you locate the exact location of her death then you can check the closest cemeteries in the area. You might try with Cocke county 1st. On the Cocke COunty site they also have some funeral homes listed. I located a lot of information through them. Billy was in the Tennessee House of Representatives. He married before 1796 in Kentucky to his first wife. They had one son - my line - Jeremiah D. Kelly. Don't know anything about Billy's first wife. In Dec. 1796, Billy married Margaret Elizabeth "Peggy" Johnson/Johnston. Their children are Anthony, Samuel J, James A., Mary Ann, ELIZABETH, Mariah, Peggy, William. All I have in the data base is Elizabeth Kelly was born about 1800 in Green County and she married JOHN HOUSTON about 1820, Green County. I really think this is the same Elizabeth Kelly because she is the daughter of Billy and he died in December of 1819. I do have more information about the Kelly offsprings - they were a good bunch. Contact me at my email address as I don't visit this site too often. Martha mkelly41@sbcglobal.net
