I'm currently working on a book of cemetery locations in Greene County TN. Does anyone know the location of the old Jim Allen Farm in Meadow Creek? It supposedly has an old cemetery on it. Also, looking for the location of the Old Minnie Ward home. And the location of the William Amos Brown grave. It is suppose to be just north of the top of Browns Mountain in Wattenbarger Gap. James Sr. married twice. (1) Jemima Russell They were married Feb. 5, 1792 and she died Sept 1, 1809. James Sr. married (2) Leah Cox June 1, 1813. They also had 7 children. She died Oct 7, 1826 when her last child was born. My ancestor, James Jr. is of the 2nd marriage. Leah is buried in Honey Creek Cemetery at Vigo IN. Don;t know when they moved to IN or whether all of the older children went with him. He moved back to Greene co TN after his wife;s deathm probably to get help with the young children.
