I believe he is related to Alexander Galbraith of PA and Greene Co., TN. His name was likely William Henry Galbraith, but he went by Henry. In 1830 he was in Madison Co., KY where he married the grand neice of Daniel Boone. Henry is mentioned arriving in Christian Co. with the Blue and McFadden families and some of the Boones. I am looking for confirmation of Henry's connection to Alexander Galbraith. Can you help me?
Christopher Columbus Crum B- 7-14-1878 D- 7-24-1942 married Lula Shelton B- 10-2-1888 D- 1958. Lula was married to Henry Metcalf, before C.C.Crum. I am trying to find out, what family this Henry belonged to. I believe, Henry and Lula lived in Madison co. before they came to Greene co. They had a son, Phillip, and, Earl. Some of Lula's siblings were- Sudie, Dan, Isadora, and Minnie. (Sudie was married to Melvn Shelton) Does anyone know anything about this marriage of henry metcalf and Lula Shelton?? Thanks, Trish Holaway

According to additional information on Ancestry.com, his father was Jacob R. Seaton married to a Sarah Sally Rymar. This database also indicates that Barton Seaton's wife was Mary Jane Willis. Barton was born in 1880. Could he be the brother of your relative? I am interested in this couple Barton and Mary Seaton because they had two daughters who could be the first and second wives of my ggrandfather Freeman. My ggrandfather married a Sarah Seaton and after her death he married a "Betty" Seaton. I haven't been able to find records on these families anywhere ...just this Greene County family that had a daughter Sarah, a daughter Lizzie and a daughter Margaret (either of which could have been called Betty I suppose). This is a stretch because the first knowledge I have of my family, they are in west Tennessee. Star

I have Philip Davis parents are James Davis and Rachel Maltsberger. James born abt. 1810 & died May 11, 1849. They had 8 kids. My problem is James's parents. This is a guess but any help would be appreciated. Here it goes: I think it is possible James father is William Harrison Davis the son of Thomas Davis and Sarah "Sally" Harrison. William was born Nov. 30, 1768. He married 1st Susanna Hixon, 2nd Lavina Jones. Does anyone have children with either of these marriages? Especially Lavina Jones because they were married around 1806 which would make her James's mom. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Will share any info I have and will help with your research. Thanks in advance. Sincerely Trina (trinahound@aol.com)

At the time, I didn't recall ever seeing that before & wondered if it was the same but not having information with dates, etc., handy, & being involved in searching for something else (probably a Phillips-Register connection) I never did get back around to it. So when you mentioned that marriage, I knew it existed but couldn't remember the date. I went back & checked & your date of 1819 (14 Jan) matches. Now, if my 1812 birthdate for Royal m. Betsy is correct, there would be way too much age difference for this to be the same. So I think you're right about being two different people. With Royal being such an unusual name (to me anyway) I think it seems pretty likely that they probably were related someway. I guess it's back where I started until I can get more informatio! n. I'm still looking for parents, siblings, etc. on Malinda Phillips b.ca 1823 so if you find her in your line somewhere, let me know. It's been interesting!

In looking through my info on Royal Phillips who married "Betsy" Morelock, his parentage is listed the same as that you listed for Royal Phillips who married Jane Bacon. This information is from "Historic Greene County & It's People -1783-1992". So now I'm wondering if this is the same man - different wives. Do you know who Jane Bacon's parents were, any dates on her, where she was buried or if they had children? Was she related to you? I know there are some Phillips descendants from this line who monitor this message board. Maybe they can shed some light?
