Surnames: Keller Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.tennessee.counties.greene/9341.2.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Edith Keller was the original person I was looking for. I found her in the 1910 census in Stafford, Kansas (consequently where she is also buried). Her mother was Emma Keller. I believe that the people in the 1910 census in Stafford are the correct people and they seem to fit in with Susan Keller from Tennessee. I did not notice that there was a Susan Keller in Stafford, KS also in the 1910 census. If you have access, could you send me that census? My email address is [email protected] The problem I'm having, I can't seem to figure out where they go from there and also where the husband of Emma Keller is.

Surnames: Keller, Weems Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.tennessee.counties.greene/9341.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I've found a couple of interesting possibilities from the clues you gave. 1930 Greene Co, TN, 5th CD, 1/1 E. D. Keller, age 48, and wife Emma, age 46. [I suspect this is the son listed as Eldridge in 1900.] 1910 Greene Co, TN, 8th CD, __/__ James R. Weems, age 30, and wife, Montie, age 21, with daughter, Edith, age 2. 1930 Greene Co, TN, 12th CD, 172/172 James R. Weemes, age 51, and wife, Montie, age 41, with daughter, Rella, age 18, and grand-daughter, Iva J., age 4/12. [This may be the daughter listed as Montie in 1900.] The most far-fetched supposition is that for the 1910 Census. In Stafford Co, KS, I found an Emma Keller, age 35 (listed as married, but also listed as the head), with children: John E., age 10, Ollie E., dau, age 8, Cecil C., age 6, and Edith J., age 4. John, Ollie, and Cecil were all born in Tennessee, but Edith was born in Kansas. There was also a Susan Keller (born in Tennessee) in Stafford Co, KS. She was 54 and listed as a widow. She had 7 children, 6 living; only one with her - Chester, age 11, born in Tennessee. Of course, these are all suppositions. It might be possible to prove whether Montie is the correct person by looking at Greene Co. marriage licenses. Other than that, you'd be looking at trying to find birth and/or death certificates in Tennessee and Kansas. An interesting puzzle. I'll keep looking at it.

So, far this is the only information I have been able to find. As far as connections, I'm hoping to find some. :) Merry Christmas to you too!

What was Susan Keller's husband's name? Her parents? Which Census District was she in for the 1900 Census? I am researching the descendents of Leonard(b. 1781 PA) and Rebecca Roberts (b. 1796 NC) Keller of Greene County. Most of the family seemed to have lived in the area of Limestone Springs. My branch of the family (Daniel Morgan and Martha A. White Keller) moved to MO about 1885 and settled in Christian County, MO. Does any of this sound as if there might be a connection? 1. [TNGREENE] Davis-Starnes
    2. Josh, I tried to send you an email, but it didn't go through. My husband is related to your Davis live as is Pat Sabin who has published some of the Davis information on her website. I have a copy of William Crawford Davis' death certificate. He was born November 2, 1851 and died May 6, 1924, He is buried in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. His father Thomas Davis is buried at Cross Anchor Cemetery according to my notes. He was born October 21, 1822 and died June 6, 1892 according to my records. Thomas' parents were Jesse Davis (about 1786 to 15 April 1823) and Sarah Antrim Davis. Jesse's parents were John and Sarah (unknown) Davis. We do not know where John or Jesse are buried. John is our brick wall. It is assumed that he came from Virginia but where is unknown. I have copies of probate records that belong to John and Jesse. I would be glad to trade more information with you. Please email me directly. ________________________________________________________________________ Check out the new AOL.
