In the 1860 Greene Co.census, Allen and White live next to each other and each have taken in a "Lawson" boy. Which I found the family of with the children in the 1850 census. I would love to find anyone who has information on their father and mother. In the 1860 Census, there is a John and Elijah, which live close by, either of who could possibly be the father, I just haven't researched that much into them yet. Clifford in Greene Co. TN. The information I have about their children came from a book I found in the geneaology section of the library about Gravestone Community in E. TN. According to this source, in addition to my g-grandfather, Lawrence F. Lemons, Martha and Millard had 12 other children, including a son named Clark. My grandmother confirmed some of this info before she died. I have been looking all over for info about Millard/George Millard's parents. Lawrence married Dicey Leinart & my grandfather was one of their son's. Just hope I'm not barking up the wrong (family)tree looking for my Lemons ancestors. All help appreciated! 2. Nicky Heron
    3. Hello, I am researching my great-grandmother Antoinette Wheeler born in Jonesborough in 1868 and married to a Strahan approx. 1885. They had 4 children: 2 older girls who died and my grandfather Malcolm Strahan later known as Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson born in 1890 in Greeneville and his brother Christopher Strahan born in 1894. I have been unable to locate the marriage, the deaths of the two girls, the births of any of the children and the divorce or possible death of Strahan. I will be visiting the Jonesborough/Greeneville area and plan to visit the archives in the Sherrod Library in Johnson City and the Library in Greeneville and I'm interested in other suggestions that anyone might have. Thanks, Nicky Brown

My grandmother (Pearl's daughter-in-law, in other words) is 91 years old, and she knew Pearl well. In fact, Pearl died in her house. My grandmother knows about Pearl, and about the rest of the Ball family. Pearl's first husband was William Marion Weems, and it is that marriage from which we are descended. After William died, Pearl remarried Sam Ball and had Mary and Martha (twins) Ball, and David Ball. My grandmother knew them all, and my mother knew Mary, Martha, and David. I know they can tell you things and would be happy to. In fact, we have at least 3 pictures of Pearl. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
