At time of registration, 5 Jan 1918, he was living at R1, Lincolnton, Lincoln Co., NC. He had brown hair, brown eyes. Next of kin: Lessie Mae Carpenter, his sister. 1910 census, Howards Creek Twp, Lincoln Co, NC Julia Carpenter, Head, 48, widow, mother of 3/1 living, NC NC NC Roy S.
