They may not be but Orange Co., Ind is where some of the Germans went from Greene Co. Michael Cutsinger 11001//00001 , Orange Co., IND Martin Cutssinger 010100001//001 Oranger Co., IND [He was born 1760 to 1770] Jacob Cutsinger 112001//120101 Orange Co., IND Roll: 31 Page: 6 I have no record to show that Mary was the mother of Mary. However, I saw a record once where there was a Michael Kratzinger in Tenn early and feel that she had a son named Michael who was old enough not to have a guardian. So, I believe that she had a daughter, Mary. In Rockingham Co., Va. there were 2 marriages that may have been Mary's kids. I don't know MAR [Martin?]Kratzinger /Cretzinger to Elizabeth Snider dau. of Jacob and MAR [Margaret?]Kratzinger/Cretzinger to Jacob Minnick in 1794.It may be too early for her to have had them but if Mary was born when I think she was C: 1756 whe wouild only have been about 50 when her last childwas born so could have had them by #1. Marriages 1838 were, in fact, the John & Elizabeth SMELSER - parents of William Harrison SMELSER. Or... a different John & Elizabeth. And, I have the Rockingham Co. guardianship date for Mary Kretzinger & the marriage of Mary Kretzinger & Adam Smelser. BUT, I always took that to be the same person...thinking Mary was probably 16 or so and needed a guardian, and then that old man, Adam, married her a few days later. I never thought of it like you've suggested - a daughter & mother named Mary. You may very well be correct!! Have you looked for a will for Michael Kretzinger? Its like they never existed. I looked at the Monroe Co.,Pub. Lib. index of obits. & found again that Charles Finn died about 1/18/1951 age 54 & I'm sure you already have that & I'm sure I have a copy of his obit. in my Finn file at home, but it probably doesn't give any background info. in it or I would know more in the first place. I just can't believe that Beulah would not have left something behind that would have been of some genealogical clue. Did she or Charles not have a birth certifcate? Any idea where they went to grade or high school at? I would say since she wouldn't talk & maybe didn't leave a paper trail of some kind, they would hiding something & that's makes it all the more interesting to uncover what they were trying to hide. Which one of Beulah's girls was your mother? Don Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. It may not make a difference, but I think the spelling of the last name is "rogers" and that Robert's wife's name was not Sarah at all, just Sadie or Sadia. Maybe she threw out everything before she died, as I said, Delores said her mother wouldn't tell her anything at all. Do you have a current email address for Delores, Beulah's daughter? Without getting out my Finn file & I'm here at the Ellettsville Branch Library, I can't remember what Delores' last time was. I think it was Terrell wasn't it? Greeneville, Tn. is in Greene Co.,Tn. & thats where Beulah was supposedly from, but can't remember without looking, as to what county in Ky. the Finns were from. I think I have it, but couldn't believe I couldn't find any of them in any census records. Its as if they were not home every time or were hiding when census taker came around every 10 yrs.
