JACK MOORE.... 1st my cousin's grandmother was INEZ MAYS...she married EARL MOORE son of HOUSTON & ROSA BROWN MOORE of KNOXVILLE. at 1st there was no connection to HOUSTON's mom NANCY MAYS/MAYES of CLAIBORNE Cpunty,TN.she was born in 1845 in RAY Co.,MO. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GARDNER MAYS married CATHERINE VINEYARD or VINYARD? they had a son named FLEMING who had a son named DAVID PRYOR MAYS who had my cousin STEVE MOOREs Grandmother MYRA INEZ MAYS. she was born 11-16-1911. she married JAMES EARL MOORE son of HOUSTON & ROSA BROWN MOORE. ok here is where we are stuck and as a result of this new info, we are thinking our greatgramps JACK MOORE Houston & my gramps dad was married? to we thought the NANCY MAYES/MAYS daughter of STERLING & SARAH CARR MAYES/MAYS of CLAIBORNE Co.TN. was her.and still may be. but research in GRAINGER Co.has turned up a DAVID MOORE married to an ELIZABETH MAYS/MAYES.. now we think that this may be our MOORE line. if anyone wants to go to my homepage & get more info.it won't reflect this info as i got it today.thank you Ray Moore. hp addy...... http://tippytnn.topcities.com/moore/moore.htm Researching (this name most wanted: MOORE.)
