PS. that awful 1870 census (with all the Initials) shows Absolum Roach & Catherine "Kate" Yates....with a William age 16,(no last name) I had thought he was a Roach, but he probably was Wm Mayes....he isn't their son they were not married that long before 1870, their eldest child is 7...
