Dear Betty, Conni, and Lori, Betty, yes, I am talking about St., Joseph, MO. I live in Northwest, Missouri. Lori and Conni, the MCPL does have a tremendous genealogy section. However, it has been two years since I have been to Kansas City (or more correctly been to Kansas City to do genealogical research). My neighbor and I went down to K.C two years ago and spent one afternoon at the K. C. branch of NARA, stayed overnight and spent the next day at MCPL. It took me months to sort through all the things I found. I am hoping to get back this summer, but so far this reearch expedition doesn't seem to be anywhere on the horizon. We have a family wedding in K. C. next weekend and I was hoping to go a day or so in advance and stay overnight, but it looks like we will just be going down and returning the same day.
