In a deposition dated Feby 1848 shortly before Jane Ivy's death, Jane Ivy stated that Henry Howell was her brother (actually Henry's pension file is Jane O. Collins Howell's application for a pension, Henry Howell died in 1819.) Also Jane Ivy stated that Henry Howell had served two tours with her husband (Henry Ivey or Ivy). Jane O. Howell left a nocuperative will in 1849?? in Grainger County mentioning her daughters Jane now Jane Grove and Prudence Carmichael. I don't think Jane Grove or Jane Mayes as she would have been then was mentioned in her brother Thomas K. Howells earlier will. He "remembered" Prudence Carmichael and Prudy's children and some of the Countses. James Mays and Jane his wife are mentioned as heirs of Henry Howell, dec'd in land records after Henry died..
