Shar you said, "I just added the info on Sarah Roach's parents, hope thats okay( see below)" I don't mind at all. <grin> this is a group Grainger County list project. I meant to put in Sarah's parents myself (they were Hamilton's parents too, of course. and I will add Catherine Wolf and Reverand John Kidwell These people were so interconnected I really try to find out about the spouse's parents). Also I just typed in Grace's information without citations. I need to go back and do that some more work (this is a work in progress). Perhaps I should NOT have said "probably not Edward", because I think it COULD have been Edward. Actually I did think it interesting that Edward remarried after being so a widower for some time even before I knew about Sarah's other children. Or it sunk in about Edward and Sarah and Sarah's older children. Actually you all have been discussing this since 1998 and it just all went right over my head. I did catch the reference to Edward, of course and I think I knew Edward was Liggen and Esther's son. The reason I know you have been discussing this for years is because I have all my Grainger List mail since 1998 (at least the significant parts). I ran across some of your early postings when I was looking to find out who parked the RV beside the schoolhouse and copied records for three days. <grin> I was wrong it wasn't Roach researchers, it was some of the Mallicoats. <smile> Now that's dedication, and three people working for three days can get a lot of photocopying done. I hope to get out there someday myself.<sigh> Anyway I certainly haven't discounted Edward being the older children's father. However, as you said the question is where was Sarah in 1850? Edward, Major and Phebe are listed with David and Elizabeth Mayes Yates. Quite a mystery here. Gail
