    3. Hi again Gail, I consider the Holston my "home river." My Hurst grandfather owned at least the ferry landing for a ferry across the river in Hawkins Co. My mother's Spoon family lived along Panther Creek, which before 1870 was part of the boundary between Grainger and Jefferson. Before I started doing personal genealogy, I studied - still do - royal genealogy and history, especially English. No royal ancestors that I know of.
