Edith Whitley's son told me some years ago that the family donated all of her family information to a library in TN. I don't remember all the particulars, and I'm sure I no longer have the letter. You might check with some libraries in TN to see if they have vertical files or some-such of her work. Mrs. Whitley did publish a lot of books on Tennessee records, but I do not believe that she published any Grainger County Marriage Records. If she did, I would like to have information on the book and would be grateful for the correction. Billie Wyrick Kennerly also published Tennessee, Grainger County, Marriage Bonds and Licenses, 1838-1866, Book No. 2. However, she died some years ago and I do not know if her heirs/estate still has copies for sale or not, whether they would allow this data to be put on the internet, nor how to contact them. You might try McClung Historical Collection, Knox Co., Knoxville, Tenn. There are volumes there from all counties, especially east Tennessee. The phone number is 865 215-8801. I have been through Grainger Co. books but don't remember what is there. However, there are usually marriage record transcriptions from most counties.
