List: I would like to know if anyone on this Tennessee list may have access to the Kentucky wills or North Carolina wills or be able to tell me if they are on-line someplace. Specifically I am hoping to be able to learn about 3 wills, William Mays, Sr., proved 1817 Cumberland Co., KY, William Mays proved 1814 Logan Co., KY, and John Mays proved 1777 in North Carolina, no county noted. However this John Mays had a spouse Anne and children, William, John, James, and Mary. Always inquiring and chasing. Dear Shari, Two of these wills are at Selena's Mayes public domain site, I believe: Will transcriptions are on: http://uneedspeed.net/~sdulac/PGMayesWills.htm <hint> Shari, you probably want to bookmark this site. Soooo see the following settlement documents for the other children (you may already have these since I have referred you to these documents before). http://uneedspeed.net/~sdulac/ESTMayWBiggerstaff1818.htm http://uneedspeed.net/~sdulac/ESTMayWBiggerstaff1818.htm You said: John Mays proved 1777 in North Carolina, no county noted. It is online at Selena's site: http://uneedspeed.net/~sdulac/WMayesJohn1723.htm Bye for now, Gail
Gail:Again I appreciate you taking the time to steer me towards the files and reports I need to view. Hopefully your kindness helps others on this list as they read about my stumbling around the www (wide world of where?). I have been to Selena's website and it is bookmarked. I simply did not go far enough into the other areas to check. Then too, there are connections I am not aware of at one point but realize (way too much later) that I should have gathered that information for future reference. I also see where you have contributed to Selena's information. I appreciate your help greatly.
