Although I am not researching the Vineyards the name jumped out at me. My 4th great grandmother was Susannah Vineyard. Her father was John (Johannes Weinert) Vineyard Sr. born 1755 in Germany and her mother was Mary Best. Susannah was married to Greenberry Mitchell Sr. on December 20, 1806 in Little Valley, Grainger County, Tennessee. So we're probably related in some way. I also have an Artie, Celia, Elizabeth, Glenn R., another John, Ova Bela and W.A. Vineyard in my Mitchell family history.
