    3. Rutha E. (Hayes) Ott 08/14/2005 Aug. 22, 1908-Aug. 13, 2005 Rutha E. (Hayes) Ott, 96, of Monroe who died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in her home. She had been in declining health. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Monroe location of Bennett Funeral Home. She will lie in state from 10 a.m. Wednesday until services at 11 a.m. at Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Roy Southerland, pastor of the church, and the Rev. Damon Patterson, pastor emeritus of the church, will co-officiate. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Born Aug. 22, 1908, in Claiborne County, Tenn., she was the daughter of Stephen and Margarett (Wilson) Drummonds. She married Sam Hayes on Nov. 19, 1927. He died in 1965. She then married Art Hemry. He died in 1979. She then married Christ Ott. He died 1996. Surviving are three sons, Coy (Wanda) Hayes of Jacksonville, Fla., Donald (Georgine) Hayes of Farmington Hills and Ronald (Mary Anne) Hayes of Hillsdale; two daughters, Pauline (James) Wiginton of Amory, Miss., and Audrey Heath of Monroe; a brother, the Rev. Callie Drummonds of Morristown, Tenn.; 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Online condolences can be made at www.bennettfuneralhome.net.
