Searching for info about a WILSON VAUGHN/VAUGHAN b. before 1820, Hawkins Co., TN., m. a NANCY BOWLEN, b. 1805, TN. WILSON's parents are thought to be WILLIAM VAUGHAN Jr., and 1st wife [unk], WILLIAM VAUGHAN Jr. ,m. 2nd MARGARET "PEGGY" WELL. After the death of the 1st wife, WILLIAM JR. moved [with WILSON] TO Hancock CO., TN. and Est. a mill on Little War Creek abt 1820. WILSON's family [minus Wilson] left the area and after a stay in Fayette Co., KY., they eventually settled in Indiana. Wilson's family [ that came to Indiana] included Stokley, Wylie, Wesley, Clinton, Mary and the mother NANCY BOWLEN, but no Wilson. Have'nt been able to find anything in Hawkins or Hancock Co., and since Grainger Co., was est. in 1796, thought maybe I would look here. Thanks..............Mobie McCammon 3702 W.
