Thanks. Gail for the information. I don't have that much info on Emmeline. Most of what I do have comes from Census data etc. My main area of concentration has been that of her sister Elizabeth's family. I do show Emmeline and John next household to William and Anna Marsh in the 1880 census. If the marriage date is correct then it does appear that John was married before as there are children listed in the home that are too old from this marriage--Son Wallie 15 and Daughter Dora 8. Lula born in August of 1879 fits for this couple. The image from 1900 is damaged and too blurred to read years of marriage for John and Emeline--looks like 22 years though? Number of children says 7 born and 5 still living with Martha L Aug 1879 and Ada listed still in the household at census time.
