Carolyn, Of the Shelton's I can trace, they are gone from Grainger, TN by about 1818 and go into MO. There is another Shelton line that remained in the area for a longer time period. The line that stayed is the "Ralph Shelton" line. My line seems to be coming out of the Albemarle, VA area and is referred to as the "New Kent" line of Sheltons as per DNA testing.
