Looking for information on a Cordell Roberts age 9 on the 1870 Grainger County census living with John Roberts and Sarah. Sarah is 63 years old so I doubt that Cordell is her child...I'm assuming maybe grandson. There is also a Margaret age 16 in the household. I can not find the family in 1880 or in 1860. Parents of Cordell might be Joseph "Joe" Roberts and Margaret but can't find those names in 1860 or 1880 either. Husband's family history has it that the Cordell and a brother later on committed a crime and ran into Kentucky where they lived out their lives telling nothing more.
