Hi, Melissa, Where did you get the info that John Roach married Sally Romans in 1823? If it is printed in some book, it is wrong. People have been citing that date for years and some books even have him marrying Sally Bowmans. It looks to me like someone transcribing the marriage records inadvertently skipped a line in the entry and that produced an error, both in the date and in Sally's name. I have a copy of the original bond, and they married in 1820. They were my 4th g-grandparents. This John was a nephew of the John that Shar is looking for a marriage record for. Thanks.
