I have a brick wall. I am searching for informaton on William Reeder (Reader) who in someway is connected to the Joseph H Clark & Nancy Ann Smith Clark line through their son William Clark. William Clark married a Naomi C ? (we think her maiden name might be Reeder). Their first born son was named William Reeder Clark and since so much of the tradition of naming their children with their mothers maiden name was done at that time. They were in Claiborne Co. Tenn during the middle & late 1830's. I have found a William Reeder on a 1830 Grainger Co. Tenn Census showing him with children Males- 2 under 5 years of age; 1 5 and under 10; 1 10 & under 15; 2 15 & under 20 and 1 40 & under 50. Females 1 under 5 years '; 1 5 & under 10; 1 30 & under 40 and 1 70 & under 80. Does anyone have an information on this family ? Names of children, spouse etc. Does anyone have a Naomi C ? born possibly in North Carolina. There were land transfers from William Clark & Naomi C to their son William Reeder Clark in Claiborne Co. during the 1830's. The sister to William Reeder Clark is my grgrgrgrandmother, by the name of Nancy Smith Clark who married Jesse William Dalton and were in Claiborne Co., and owned land there also.
