Does anyone have the parents of Lewis ADKINS, B.15 MAy 1785in Grainger, TN, who married Elizabeth MONROE B. 15 DEc. 1784. They married 24 Jan 1804. He died 14 Jun 1868 and she died 17 DEc. 1865. They had 11 children who intermarried with the BURNETT, MULLENS, PHIPPS, NEEDHAM, MULLINS, HILL, ATKINS and HUBBS families. I need his parents and proof that her mother was Rosannah (Janie)PUCKETT. and Robert MONROE. I also need the parents of Fereby (Phoebe) HILL, who married the above couple's son, Robert (Robin) ADKINS 1 Feb. 1838. She was born in 1816 and died in 1897 in Grainger. He was born 16 Jan 1816 and died 20 Jan 1892. They are buried in the ADKINS Cem. off Tater RD., Grainger. Since the families were long time residents of the area, can anyone tell me if there are obits from any newspapers in the area for the late 1800's. Thank you for any help.
