Joseph Long married Viola, Villa or Violet Purkeypile 1875 Scott Co, TN. She was the daughter of Jacob Purkey and Elizabeth Helton who married 1853 Grainger Co.. 1880 Hamblen Co. they hadRobert Long born ca, 1877 and Lula born 1879 and John Purkey(1857) who was s/o William and Frankie Spoon Purkey and a laborer. I, too found them in Indian Territory 1900. In 1910 I found Viola with daughter, Lula and son-in-law Frank Herrington in Caddo, OK but Joseph wasn't with them. I just assumed he had passed away. Were they divorced?
