    3. I would guess that it's probably in the State archives in Nashville, as part of the proceedings of the General Assembly in 1799. The State Archives website is pretty good, though I don't think they have much in the way of transcribed documents or PDFs online. But there are indexes and information about the extent of the collection. You can write to them and for a fee they will research and copy documents for you. I've only done this looking for divorce records and birth records, so far, and the fee was $15.00.
