Hello Nancy, The use of Google gave this url: http://members.tripod.com/vandergrift/grmisc.htm If you click on " Petitions to the General Assembly" You will arrive at the url bleow. http://members.tripod.com/vandergrift/pet_jeff.htm Where you will find: Transcribed from "Ansearchin'"News, Fall/1991, PP 114-115 19-1-1799 Petition of citizens of Grainger "concerning that it will not be to the advantage of the Publick at Large to add any part of Grainger county to Jefferson........." Not sure what Ansearchin News is and I am not sure if this is good enough or complete, but it does list the names.
