There must be a safe place to store these records for the future until something permanent can be done with them. Some of my ancestors, Davis, Lee, Taylor and etc lived in Rutledge, Tn. Most places have old buildings. In McKinney, Tx, they use the old Post Office building where everything is collected including tombstones. Surely someone has a place to store them. Maybe I missed it, but why were they moved from the courthouse? Doesn't the courthouse have a basement? Mary
