    3. It is beyond my comprehension that there is not a historical society in that area that can't or won't take charge of the old records in that deteriorating schoolhouse. What gives here? There is a little community just south of Durant, OK, that has established the Bryan Co. Heritage Association. Their little building is chock full of old Bryan Co. records that were going to be discarded. If it weren't for this little group of dedicated volunteers, many old tax records, etc., would be lost. Whether these Grainger Co. records have been microfilmed or not, they should be saved. They should be housed in a place that will not cause more deterioration, until they can be catalogued, etc. There needs to be a person or organization, locally, to take up the charge, and there needs to be people, like ourselves, to give tremendous support. After all, this is part of our heritage. What can I do to help? Anita L. Hinson
