I'm usually not sure what day I'm going to Rutledge. I can try to go on Monday but will not be sure until Monday morning. With 3 children sometimes they make my schedule for me. I really wouldn't waste my time going to the old school. It is such a mess you would probably find nothing and it is so dirty. You can go to the courthouse to find marriage records. I'm not really sure what else is available since I've only worked in that one office. I think they have an index to wills but not really sure. I know there are wills in the old school but finding a certain one would be almost impossible. The courthouse opens at 8:30 am. I'm not sure what the procedure for getting in the old school is. I know each time I go I have to explain who I am and why I'm there. There is an old thrift store that you have to go through to get into where the old records are. They don't open until 10 am and I know one day I was there they were closed, so I'm not sure which day that is. I think it may be Tuesdays. If at all possible I will try to be in Rutledge on Monday and I'll try to help you and we will try to get into the old school so you can see how bad it really is. Thanks! Mickey
