Lori, In my ancestor search for Philip Sword (believed to be my ggg/gf) in Grainger county, I found Philip Sword and Andrew Seabolt (Philip's son-in-law) working for William McPhetridge who was authorized by Grainger court to be road overseer on property near Powder Springs Gap in the Clinch Mountain in 1807. I also find William mentioned 1840 in the will of Martin Cleveland. I think I have other notes on William but can't find them right now. I would be curious to know if you have any info on William related to this overseer job.
