Hi again, Maybe we have a thread going here <grin> women who are head of households and Mallicoats. Last week at my genealogy library I FINALLY got a chance to look up the (or at least start looking up the Grays). When I rented the 1850 Grainger Census (and ran over a month!!) I did not know "my" Louisa Mayes maiden name. In a way I don't mind since the library had the tape and with all the people I had on the Grainger County 1850 census I was nearly blind by the time I returned it. Anyway the woman I believe to be Elizabeth GRAY MALLICOAT is listed next to Edward L. TATE and Mary Ann GRAY TATE. One child a daughter aged 8 whose name I could not make out is listed in the household. I was wondering if anyone knows when James Mallicoat Elizabeth's husband died. I thought maybe some of you Mallicoat researchers would know. Gail > connects to the Dodson/Dotson and Mallicoat lines. It just adds another piece > to the puzzle. > > Elaine Dodson Thomas > >
