Huh?....I'm getting confused.....seems I started a thing ,.... a plethora of Jaspers ...... Jasper Newton Roach b:1842 was S/O John Roach & Sarah (Romans) and the Jasper I was talking abt was his nephew....son of the John A. Roach.b:ca 1835 also S/O John and Sarah....who first md 1854 Elizabeth Hancock and had 1 -dau Martha Jane, then Eliz must have died, as John A. md 1859 to Amanda Dyer...and had Jasper Newton Roach....born ca 1862.....John A. Died abt 1866 Amanda (Dyer) Roach-re-married Feb 1867 to a Wm Martin, who miss-treated him, so lil Jasper was taken away from them and indentured to his grandfather John (per indenture records) who also raised Martha J.(per his will)and a Nancy Hodges (whom I don't know who she was) I did not find all this out for fun, although it was, <VBG> It was because they keep confuseing our John Roach Jr. + Clarka (Owens) with John & Sarah's son John, which I now have proof of all the above..have I got everyone confused.....poor John A. does he have any descendant out there? did he and Amanda have any other kids??
