I have 5 Martha Mayes' in the Vineyard line born between 1803-1873....probably have over 30 Mayes' in all. The Martha "Patsy" Mayes I have was born in 1823 in Grainger Co. Father was Gardener Mayes and mother was Catherine Vinyard. She was the last of 11 children and married Rev. Elijah Johnson Nov. 22, 1866.
