Hi Grp, hope you are all staying Coollllllll.................. have a mystery (so what's new) a Wm Green ARNETT married into our ROACH family.... Ellenor"Nella" ROACH both b:ca 1819/20....they md 1838 in Grainger.... just found an Indenture/Apprenticeship record for him 1829...Green SMITH ,Alias Green ARNETT. an orphan age 9 years Feb last, bound unto Jacob ARNETT until age 21. Aug 19... also 1829, Indenture binding Green SMITH unto Jacob ARNETT cancelled and the indenture binding Green Smith to Willis SMITH confimed. Nov 16... he was married as an ARNETT, and his kids were all raised in MO. as ARNETT....on the marriage bonds for John ROACH (Nella's Bro) William G. ARNETT signed with John...but the person transcribed the record as Wm G. SMITH, his signature in one spot (on the orginal) looked like SMITH at the other place it was more clearly ARNETT....Now I'm really wondering, who he belonged to.....anybody have a clue......... Also found 1845.. Elisha OWENS allowed five dollars for support of Alpheus YATES, orphan, for four months April 7 Thanks, Sharon
