    3. Hello. I am trying to determine the relationship between two men who both served in Company C of the 4th Tennessee Cavalry (USA). Richard R. Lacy was 23 years old when he enlisted Nov. 29, 1862 at Barboursville, KY. He stated that he was born in Grainger Co., TN. He rose to the rank of Sergeant. William H. Lacy was 18 years old when he enlisted Feb. 1, 1863 at Grainger Co., TN, where he stated that he was born. He was captured by the enemy July 31, 1864 near Atlanta during McCook's Raid, and died Feb. 20, 1865 while a prisoner of war. In the 1850 census, they are living two households apart. Richard's father was James Lacy, b. abt 1801 in TN, a minister. William's father was William A. Lacy, b. abt 1820 in TN, a farmer. I would like to know what the relationship was between James and William A., as well as any other information about these families. Thanks Jessie Blalock http://www.clark.net/pub/jcblal/tenn4cav/index.html
