In 1806 in Grainger County, John S Wells and Ruth McEnelly were married. Is anyone researching this couple? Are there any Wells families in Grainger in the 1820's? My g g grandmother Martha "Patsy" Wells married James Hopson in Claiborne County in 1844; she was born about 1824. I have pretty much proved that she could not have belonged to any of the Wells families who were in Claiborne County between 1824 and 1844. I'd very much like to find her parents.
