    3. Hi, Jim - I'm always happy to know that some little scrap I have may help someone else find what they are looking for. It's almost as much fun to me as finding something about my own line! I'll look into my stuff again and see if I made a mistake when putting info into the computer. Thanks for this info! I certainly don't want to pass anything along that may not be correct "to the best of my knowledge and belief." I live in South-Central Texas, about 15 miles South of Austin and 15 miles North of San Marcos, about 6 miles East of I-35 at a place that used to be called Goforth. There's no town there now, but my mother, a Schmidt, grew up only a few miles away. This is in Hays County. Conroe is between Houston and Lufkin on I-45, and is about a 3 1/2 or 4-hour drive away. Off-hand, I don't recall where Spring is. My good road map is in the car, and as you may guess from my typing, I'm in no shape to go out there to get it! I have a researcher friend down at Conroe, so if you want me to see if I can find out anything about the daughters around there, give me some particulars and I'll see if I can put you in contact. Good luck on your research, and I'd really appreciate updated info on your line of this family. If I can help you further, just give a holler.
